When simulating for light AoE DPS potential, with small waves of adds, Survival Hunters averaged 35.9% more DPS than Shadow Priests (+2M DPS).
Shadow Priest+1.9% DPS
When upgrading the gear for both specs by +40 ilvl, Shadow Priest DPS improved the most, +1.9% more than Survival Hunter. In total, Shadow Priests DPS increased by 67.69% and Survival Hunters by 65.79%.
