Healer Rotation & Cooldowns

This rotation offers a general priority list for Mistweaver Monk abilities, along with key cooldowns at the bottom. It's based on a standard build and is here to help while we work on a smarter, build-aware system. If you are very new to the game or this class, we added info on the new assisted rotation features at the bottom of this guide. Updated for the latest patch in World of Warcraft: Midnight Pre-Patch (12.0.0).

Single Target

Ensure Renewing Mist is active before combat begins.

Use to save a life in critical moments.
Use to save a life in critical moments.
Apply debuff to enemies.
Use when assigned for raid-wide healing.
Use when assigned for controlled healing.
Use if at 3 charges.
Use if at 20 stacks.
Use when assigned for burst healing.
Use to empower your next spell.
Use with Strength Of The Black Ox procs.
Use as a filler.

Prioritize life-saving abilities like Sheiluns Gift and Vivify. Maintain Renewing Mist uptime and use cooldowns like Revival and Invoke Yulon, The Jade Serpent strategically. Fill with Blackout Kick when no other priorities are available.

For AoE, prioritize Sheiluns Gift and Vivify for critical healing. Use Spinning Crane Kick with Dance Of Chi Ji procs and maintain Renewing Mist. Activate cooldowns like Invoke Chi Ji, The Red Crane for burst healing.

Cooldowns

Empowers your next spell; use frequently.
Use for burst healing during high-damage phases.
Use for AoE healing and damage-to-healing conversion.
Use for raid-wide healing and dispels.
Use for controlled raid-wide healing.
Apply to save a target from lethal damage.
Use for massive burst healing.
Channel for healing and summon Celestials.

Use Thunder Focus Tea frequently to empower spells. Activate Invoke Yulon, The Jade Serpent or Invoke Chi Ji, The Red Crane during high-damage phases. Save Life Cocoon for emergencies and Revival for raid-wide healing.

New to Class? Try Assisted Rotation

Patch 11.1.7 introduced new features that make it eaiser to pick and play new characters. These new settings can be enabled from settings » gameplay enhancements:

Single-Button Assistant
Assisted Highlight
Cooldown Manager

If you are new to World of Warcraft or a certain class, enabling Assisted Highlight and Cooldown Manager can help you learn which abilities to prioritize and use.

While the Single-Button Assistant can be a much easier and more accessible way to play the game, it does come with a slight performance hit due to a small GCD penalty, as you will have to wait 25% longer in between spells and abilities.
