Healer Rotation & Cooldowns
This rotation guide provides a quick, basic understanding of which abilities to prioritize when playing a Preservation Evoker, along with additional details on important cooldowns at the bottom. Updated for the latest patch in World of Warcraft: The War Within (11.0.7).
Single Target
Ensure Echo is active before the encounter begins.
- Keep on cooldown as much as possible.
- Use to generate Echo.
- Use before large healing casts.
- Consume Echo for burst healing.
- Use on yourself for additional healing.
- Cast after Verdant Embrace for high burst healing.
- Maintain on party members for passive healing.
- Use to generate Essence Burst.
- Use to generate Essence Burst when nothing else is available.
For single-target healing, prioritize Stasis and Temporal Anomaly to generate Echo. Use Tip The Scales before major heals, and consume Echo with Verdant Embrace or Spiritbloom. Maintain Reversion on allies for passive healing.
AoE
- Keep on cooldown as much as possible.
- Use to generate Echo.
- Use before large healing casts.

- Use frequently to heal multiple allies.
- Store powerful heals for later use.
- Use after heavy damage for maximum healing.
- Save for unexpected damage spikes.
- Use to reduce AoE damage taken.
- Use to regenerate mana and heal.
Manage cooldowns effectively: use Dream Flight for group healing, Stasis to store powerful heals, and Rewind in emergencies. Tip The Scales and Zephyr help mitigate damage, while Emerald Communion aids in mana recovery.
