This rotation offers a general priority list for Vengeance Demon Hunter abilities, along with key cooldowns at the bottom. It's based on a standard build and is here to help while we work on a smarter, build-aware system. Updated for the latest patch in World of Warcraft: The War Within (11.1).

Single Target

Pre-place Sigil Of Flame 1 second before pull.

If Thrill Of The Fight is not active or has 4 seconds left.
Buffed by Art Of The Glaive if target lacks 2 stacks of Reavers Mark or they are expiring.
Buffed by Art Of The Glaive.
Buffed by Art Of The Glaive.
Buffed by Art Of The Glaive if target has 2 stacks of Reavers Mark lasting 8+ seconds.
Use on cooldown to activate Art Of The Glaive.
Use on cooldown.
Use when close to 2 stacks or for defensive needs.
Use on cooldown.
Use with Thrill Of The Fight and Fiery Brand active.
Avoid overcapping Fury; use if about to reach 2 charges.
Use on cooldown.
Use if at or near 2 charges.
Use to spend Fury.
Use on cooldown.
Use when at 4 or fewer Soul Fragments and Fury won't cap.
Use as filler or when out of range.

Start with Sigil Of Flame and prioritize Reavers Glaive to maintain Thrill Of The Fight. Use Soul Cleave and Fracture with Art Of The Glaive buffs. Keep Fiery Brand and Fel Devastation for optimal moments, and spend Fury efficiently with Soul Cleave.

Use when most enemies are affected by Fiery Brand.
Use on cooldown; avoid overcapping Soul Fragments.
Use if 4+ Soul Fragments and <40 Fury.
Use with 4+ Soul Fragments and 6+ enemies.
Use to spend Fury and Soul Fragments.
Use if at or near 2 charges.
Use when <5 Soul Fragments.
Use as filler or when out of range.

Start with Sigil Of Flame and prioritize Reavers Glaive to maintain Thrill Of The Fight. Use The Hunt to hit multiple targets, and Spirit Bomb with 4+ Soul Fragments for 6+ enemies. Spend Fury efficiently with Soul Cleave and maintain AoE pressure with Fel Devastation and Immolation Aura.

Cooldowns

Use proactively for health and armor boost.
Use for defensive needs or to amplify fire damage with Fiery Demise.
Use for both offensive and defensive value, especially with Demonic.
Use on cooldown for burst damage and Art Of The Glaive activation.
Use on cooldown for crowd control and damage.

Use Metamorphosis proactively for survivability, Fiery Brand for defense or fire damage boost, and Fel Devastation for dual utility. Activate The Hunt for burst and Sigil Of Spite for control.
